    SendEncrypted: The Basics

    Last updated 12 days ago

At a time when network security is becoming one of today’s biggest concerns in business, netsense is proud to offer its new SendCrypted software. This email encryption program is the solution to concerns about secure email communication. Read on for an overview of SendCrypted and how it can help you:

    Email Security Problems

One of the primary means of corporate communication today is emailing, by which messages are electronically transferred from one device to at least one other. The transmission process has become a concern in recent years, as it is relatively easy for a webcrawler or other device to intercept a message before it ever reaches its addressee(s). If the intercepted emails contain sensitive information, such as company secrets, personal data, or passwords, the consequences could be severe.

    What is SendCrypted?

SendCrypted solves this problem wonderfully by encrypting email messages with a single click before sending. Essentially, the software turns the message into a code to make it impossible for an interceptor to pick up on certain keywords or email addresses in the message. Only a decryption key can unscramble the message, and only an authorized user can access the key belonging to your network. Beyond the security it offers, SendCrypted is affordable, highly customizable to your business’s needs, and easy to install on your own, without ever having to hire an IT specialist.

    Do You Need SendCrypted?

There are few, if any, businesses that cannot benefit from email encryption. The security it provides is crucial to keeping sensitive information out of reach of Internet criminals. This is especially important in industries like finance, healthcare, and law, in which a client’s information landing in the wrong hands could spark a lawsuit, or worse. If you want to protect your company’s information against prying eyes, SendCrypted may be perfect for you.

If you think your business could benefit from the security and peace of mind offered by SendCrypted, call netsense today at (401) 441-5179. Our experts will help you customize your SendCrypted service to match your company’s needs perfectly. You can also visit us on the Web for more information about the products we offer.

    BYOD, you CAN do IT!

    Last updated 16 days ago

In today’s digital environment, many American workers prefer to work on their personal mobile devices, rather than relying on company-owned equipment. This can present some security issues for the employer, but these are easily addressed. Learn more by reading below:

    The Trend of BYOD

Smartphones, laptops, and tablets are becoming something of a necessity for many American workers, as more and more of them realize the benefits of being able to access the Internet, emails, calendars, and company information whenever they need it. Accordingly, many companies are now seeing their employees use their personal mobile devices for work, both remotely and in the office. This trend is called Bring Your Own Device, or BYOD for short.

    The Problems with BYOD

Despite the flexibility for employees and reduced equipment costs for employers, BYOD also comes with some security issues. One of the most troubling of these is the fact that it is difficult for corporate IT to regulate the use of a personal device. If an employee were to have his or her device stolen, the thief might be in possession of company secrets that the owner previously accessed. Similarly, it can be difficult for corporate IT to support the many different devices on their existing network.

    Solutions

Supporting a BYOD policy can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. Third-party IT sometimes companies offer Mobile Device Management (MDM) services. MDM involves a variety of services that are crucial to maintaining security on mobile devices at a BYOD company. Specific examples might include enrollment options to ease the support burden for IT, automated policy-compliance checks, and geo-fencing and -tracking to protect sensitive information. Implementing MDM can give the employees the benefit of using their personal devices, while still giving corporate IT the control it needs to maintain security.

If you are considering implementing a BYOD policy at your office, contact netsense of Pawtucket at (401) 441-5179. Our professional consultants will provide you with effective MDM solutions to keep your employees connected and your company information secure.
